Harry Selfridge arrived in London from Chicago in 1908 with a grand plan to open the finest department store in the world.
Episode 2
Selfridges is open but is short of customers so Harry devises a plan to boost publicity for the store. He throws himself into the task but neglects his wife, Rose.

Both Lois and Henri spot the threat of an ascendant Ellen Love. Agnes helps Henri develop the new house perfume - does Victor have a rival for his affections?

Harry wins a major publicity coup when ballerina Anna Pavlova agrees to visit the store. But Agnes' job comes under threat as Reg reaches breaking point, and he crashes the event.

Harry is delighted with the motor car he has had brought in for a spectacular new window display. Roddy surprises Rose at home, where he is spotted by young Beatrice.
Episode 6
Harry is unconscious after his accident. Victor and Lady Mae have an affair, and Agnes and Henri's friendship grows.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle arrives for a book signing and persuades Harry to hold a seance in the store.

Things get awkward for Rose when she bumps into Roddy at Lady Mae's soiree. Agnes and Henri's relationship hots up.
