Week 1 Fall 2016
Dancing with the Stars is back with its most dynamic cast yet and ready to hit the ballroom floor. Each couple will perform a Jive, Foxtrot, Cha Cha or Viennese Waltz, vying for America's vote for the first time.
Week 2: TV Night
The 13 celebrities dance to some of the most beloved television theme songs from the past and present. Each couple will perform a cha cha, Argentine Tango, jive, Paso Doble, tango, quickstep or Viennese Waltz, vying for America's vote.
Week 2: Results Show
The first elimination of the season takes place, based on combined viewer and judges' scores from weeks 1 and 2.
Week 3: Face Off Night
An exciting, brand-new theme night comes to the show, as the 12 remaining celebrities find themselves pitted against each other in a quest to keep themselves immune from elimination, as Face Off night comes to "Dancing with the Stars." Two couples will each be tasked with dancing the same dance style, but to different songs.
Week 3: Results Show
Florida Georgia Line, CMA Award winners for Vocal Duo of the Year, will perform their number one hits "Cruise" and "H.O.L.Y.," and Fitz and The Tantrums will perform "HandClap," from their self-titled album. Viewers will also have a chance to see the couples' dances from the previous night one more time. The show will be packed with never-before-seen footage, including extended training packages, exclusive interviews with the couples and judge, and the second elimination of the season takes place.
Week 4: Cirque du Soleil Night
The 11 remaining teams perform a dance inspired by a Cirque du Soleil show, while Cirque du Soleil acrobats, aerialists, dancers and fire stick performers perform alongside them. Judges are: Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli.
Week 4: Results Show
A surprise double elimination takes place and DNCE performs their new single.
Week 5: Most Memorable Year
The nine remaining celebrities will set out to leave a lasting impression with their dances as they commemorate their most memorable year; contemporary is introduced. Due to the lack of a separate results show, no elimination took place this week.
Week 6: Latin Night
The nine remaining celebrities ready themselves for Latin Night, with each celebrity performing either a rumba, salsa, samba, paso doble, cha cha or Argentine tango. Plus, Pitbull performs and joins as a guest judge.
Week 7: Eras Night
The couples performed one unlearned dance and a team dance representing different historical eras; jitterbug is introduced. After a three-week absence, Len Goodman temporarily returned to the judges' table.
Week 8: Halloween Night
Couples performed one unlearned dance to Halloween themes and songs; the couple with the highest score earned an immunity from elimination, while the rest of the couples participated in dance-offs for extra points. After injuring her knee in week 7, Sharna Burgess was unable to perform with James Hinchcliffe; Jenna Johnson danced in her place. Judges are: Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli.
Week 9: Showstoppers Night
The six remaining celebrities will dance two show-stopping dances – one from some of the hottest Broadway musicals, and a second where they are paired up for a “Team-Up Challenge.” Jenna Johnson stepped in to dance with James Hinchcliffe again this week due to Sharna Burgess' knee injury. Judges are: Carrie Ann Inaba, Idina Menzel, Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli.
Week 10: Semi-Finals
The five remaining couples advance to the Semi-Finals in one of the show's tightest competitions ever. Each couple will dance two dances - one being a style the couple has not danced to yet, and the second being a Trio Dance, in which each celebrity couple will dance with a third dancer. Judges are: Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli.
Week 11: Finals Pt. 1
The four finalists each perform two dances – a Redemption Style dance, and a freestyle dance. In addition, Grammy Award-winning Train performs, plus a special performance from the upcoming movie “La La Land.” Once again after a three-week absence, Len Goodman returned to the judges' table for the finals.
Week 11: Finals Pt. 2
The final three couples danced a fusion dance that fused two dance styles. All 13 couples rejoin for a high-energy opening number, and the Season 23 champion is crowned.
