Xana Awakens, Part 1
In a prequel to the series, Jeremie discovers a supercomputer in an abandoned factory. Within, he finds an artificial intelligence he decides to name Maya. The rest of the group begins to meet one another. Ulrich and Yumi end up in the same martial arts class, Odd is new in school and gets roomed with Ulrich and Kiwi tears up Ulrich's things. Ulrich and Odd go into the virtual world for the first time.
Xana Awakens, Part 2
Realizing the danger of the supercomputer, Jeremie decides to shut it down, but not before bringing Maya into the real world. Meanwhile, an electric orb hunts Jeremie and friends. In Lyoko, Ulrich, Odd and Yumi work together to get Maya to the tower under the assumtion that it will bring her to the real world. Instead, it stops down Xana's attack rather than materializing her. Maya discovers her real name is Aelita when shutting down the tower.
Garage Kids
Garage Kids was a short film in English representing a preliminary project. It introduces the main characters, the concept of middle schoolers fighting in secret in a virtual world against an evil artificial intelligence, and the phrase "can you keep a secret?", which is reused both in the Code Lyoko series and as the series' advertising slogan. In Garage Kids, the virtual world was much more complex in its design, unusable for a series. Aelita did not exist. Odd is presented as having joined the group of heroes when they were already fighting against the AI, while the prequel to Code Lyoko shows that the group was formed when the virtual world was discovered. Yumi could use her telekinesis on Earth. The presentation at the Code Lyoko show claimed that "Yumi is telepathic8" (sic) and that Ulrich can move at the speed of light. It is unclear whether there was confusion between telepathy and telekinesis or whether she was meant to combine the two powers.
