Xiaoxiu Wang, an ordinary student, is thrilled when his childhood friend Yao Shen, with whom he has been in love forever, admits she's interested in him. But this love comes at a price. Jun Sun, the leader of the North District gang, also covets her and has him beaten up by his men and thrown into the river. Just as he's about to drown, he discovers a mysterious glowing cube.
