Father Matteo Season 3 (2002)

A laborer is found dead in the cement factory he works in. The suspect is the factory’s supervisor, who had differences with the victim. During research, Don Matteo and the police accidentally uncover a dramatic relationship.

The stables of an equestrian center catch fire. Suspicion falls on the old horse groom first, who has a motive to harm his employer. The employer, owner of the stables, might have a motive too - to collect insurance money. With Don Matteo's help and the aid of little boy Simone, the police uncovers the truth.

The manager of a country hotel is found dead. By chance, Don Matteo discovers that the victim blackmailed unsuspecting hotel guests with video recordings. Suspicion falls on a woman who seems to be involved. Her husband accuses himself.

The young woman Petra (Jacqueline Lustig), on the run from police after supposedly committing a crime, takes Don Matteo hostage. While the police and Don Matteo's 'family' attempt to free him, our protagonist cooks up a plan: In order to escape and to uncover the truth, he tries to become an accomplice to his kidnapper.

In the beauty farm which is located just outside the city, there is also the wife of Marshal Cecchini, who won a holiday in the wellness facility. The beauty farm, which is also frequented by celebrities, is the scene of the murder of an American actress.

An elderly librarian, who is tired of his life after losing his wife, organized through the internet his own murder by hiring a skilled killer. But in the end he changed his mind. Despite this, Don Matteo manages to save him from another attempt on his life.

A young photographer is in town with his models, but the next day one of them is found dead. A gypsy witnessed the murder, but doesn't want to cooperate and tell what she saw. As always, Don Matteo's contribution will be decisive.

A key witness in a process has decided to tell everything, but before doing so retires to a convent to reflect on his choice. In the same convent stays Don Matteo who, when man is found dead, is pushed by the Bishop to help in the investigation.

Dario is a thirteen year old boy who witnesses a murder. The victim, before his death, reveals an important secret. The police then decided to hide the boy in Canonica, hoping that Don Matteo convinces him to tell the secret.
