So Long, Sonic

With Final Mova defeated, Tails is heartbroken following his decision to sacrifice Cosmo for the universe. Sonic solemnly gives him a Cosmo seed as the only thing left behind, much to Tails' devastation. Later, Knuckles informs Chris that the Master Emerald is not restoring any time soon, so Chris decides to stay in Sonic's world. However, Eggman offers Chris a one-way ride back to Earth, or stay in Sonic's world forever. Chris reluctantly decides to return to Earth, without the chance to say goodbye to his friends. It was revealed to be a trick from Eggman to weaken Sonic's team without Chris and plots to rebuild his army, with Sonic and company to battle him once again. The final shot pans to Tails' workshop, showing a sprout from the Cosmo seed Sonic gave to Tails earlier.
